Psalms 105

The Lord’s Wonderful Works in Behalf of Israel.

1 aGive thanks to the Lord, bcall upon His name;
cMake His deeds known among the peoples.
2 Sing to Him, dsing praises to Him;
Or Meditate on
,
fTell of all His
I.e., wonderful acts
wonders.
3 Boast in His holy name;
May the hheart of those who seek the Lord be joyful.
4 Seek the Lord and iHis strength;
jSeek His face continually.
5 Remember His
I.e., wonderful acts
,
lwonders which He has done,
His marvels and the mjudgments

descendants of pAbraham, His servant,
You sons of qJacob, His rchosen ones!
7 He is the Lord our God;
His sjudgments are in all the earth.

8 He has tremembered His covenant forever,
The word which He commanded to a uthousand generations,
9 The vcovenant which He made with Abraham,
And His woath to Isaac.
10 Then He xconfirmed it to Jacob as a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant,
11 Saying, “ yTo you I will give the land of Canaan
As the

12 When they were only a abfew people in number,
Very few, and acstrangers in it.
13 And they wandered from nation to nation,
From one kingdom to another people,
14 He adallowed no one to oppress them,
And He

afrebuked kings for their sakes, saying,
15agDo not touch My anointed ones,
And do not harm My prophets.”

16 And He ahcalled for a famine upon the land;
He aibroke the whole staff of bread.
17 He ajsent a man before them,
Joseph, who was aksold as a slave.
18 They forced his alfeet into shackles,

19 Until the time that his anword came to pass,
The word of the Lord aorefined him.
20 The apking sent and released him,
The ruler of peoples, and set him free.
21 He aqmade him lord of his house,
And ruler over all his possessions,

That he might teach his elders wisdom.
23 auIsrael also came into Egypt;
So Jacob avlived in the land of Ham.
24 And He awmade His people very fruitful,
And made them stronger than their enemies.

25 He axturned their heart to hate His people,
To aydeal cunningly with His servants.
26 He azsent His servant Moses,
And baAaron, whom He had chosen.
27 They
Lit set the words of His signs

bcperformed His wondrous acts among them,
And miracles in the land of Ham.
28 He bdsent darkness and made it dark;
And they did not berebel against His words.
29 He bfturned their waters into blood,
And caused their fish to die.
30 Their land swarmed with bgfrogs
Even in the bhchambers of their kings.
31 He spoke, and a biswarm of flies
And bjgnats invaded all their territory.
32 He
Or made their rain hail
gave them blhail for rain,
And flaming fire in their land.
33 He also bmstruck their vines and their fig trees,
And smashed the trees of their territory.
34 He spoke, and bnlocusts came,
And creeping locusts, beyond number,
35 And they ate all the vegetation in their land,
And ate the fruit of their ground.
36 He also bofatally struck all the firstborn in their land,
The bpfirst fruits of all their vigor.

37 Then He brought

And among His tribes there was not one who stumbled.
38 Egypt was bsglad when they departed,
For the btdread of them had fallen upon

covering,
And bxfire to illumine by night.

They bzasked, and He brought caquail,
And satisfied them with the

41 He opened the

rock and cewater flowed out;

It ran in the dry places like a river.
42 For He cgremembered His holy word
With His servant Abraham;
43 And He led out His people with joy,
His chosen ones with a joyful chshout.
44 He also cigave them the lands of the
Or Gentiles
nations,
So that they ckmight take possession of the fruit of the peoples’ labor,
45 And that they might clkeep His statutes
And comply with His laws;
